About
The Doodler is a Malaysian youth-led art magazine founded in 2024 by Aditya Navin. It began as a response to the lack of platforms for young artists in Malaysia, or even Southeast Asia, to express themselves and engage in serious cultural discussions and critiques.
The Doodler is not just a project — it's a platform. It publishes exclusive interviews, art analysis and criticism, visual art and illustrations, and inspiration. The Doodler aims to spotlight unrepresented voices and champion youth artists, effectively breaking the perceived barriers of classism and elitism in the art world.
The Doodler is a full-length editorial magazine built on the concepts of authenticity, a bold editorial spirit, and depth. It offers something rare in Malaysia — a safe space for young creatives to shine and be taken seriously. Entirely student-run and published digitally, The Doodler is bringing something new to the Malaysian, Southeast Asian, and global art stage — where art is treated as both resistance and expression.
